ABOUT EWOFP

Our Story

From a Facebook page of encouragement in 2010 to a Houston-based 501(c)(3) serving single mother families for over a decade.

FOUNDER'S STORY

It started with a word of
encouragement.

In 2010, Lisa L. Nobles began sharing words of encouragement on a small Facebook page. What she didn't expect was how many women were quietly waiting for exactly that - a reminder that they weren't alone.

By April 2012, that page had grown into a registered organization. By November of the same year, Empowered Women of Faith & Purpose, Inc. was officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit - built to do more than encourage. To equip. To feed. To mentor. To walk alongside single mothers as they built lives of self-sufficiency for themselves and their children.

Lisa holds a B.A. in Applied Behavioral Science with a minor in Communication from Ashford University. Today, she leads EWOFP as CEO & Founder, still guided by the same conviction that started it all: every woman deserves someone in her corner.
